I absolutely loved the traditional decorations throughout the hotel. The even traditional wood carvings and hand-painted ceramic tiles in the corridors added such a unique charm. It reminded me of the old days and made me feel connected to the culture of Singapore. The hotel's general areas were also very accessible for senior people like myself. The hallways were spacious and well-lit, making it easy to navigate around. The hotel also provided a free 1-way shuttle to selected destinations, which was a great help for exploring the city without any hassle.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is a bit more assistance from the staff. While the children working there were friendly and polite, it would have been nice to have some extra support specifically catered to the needs of senior guests.

We had a 3 bedroom apartment which suited well our group of 4 adults and 3 children. This is maybe not the most luxuriuous hotel but a good option for families. The location was nice with short walking distance to Clarke Quay, Chinatown and Business District. The pool area was very nice, so also the gym.
Cleaning only 3 times per week. However you are able to get fresh towels from the reception upon request. Breakfast was very basic and did not vary that much during our 1 week stay. Sometimes there is noise early in the morning from people leaving the nearby restaurants.

Great place to stay with pools, fitness center, and a restaurant. Loved the scenic views of the tropical garden and colonial-style courtyards. The business center and executive lounge were a plus for business travelers. Safety features were also impressive, like it's a war zone.
Just perfect, wouldn't change a thing.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was great for relaxing, with a pool area that was perfect for unwinding. The laundry facilities were unexpectedly enjoyable too. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, from the front desk to the housekeeping team. The hotel was located close to both Robinson Quay and Chinatown, making it easy to explore the area. Plus, being near two MRT stations meant convenient access to various parts of the city.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Upgraded to a spacious 2 bedroom apartment - what a pleasant surprise! The location is incredibly central, just minutes away from Chinatown and Clarke Quay. Easy access to Quay MRT and shops, with convenient local bus stops nearby. The breakfast may be simple, but it's a good start to the day, and the lovely ladies taking care of it are always willing to help. The security staff are fantastic, providing excellent service. The comfortable beds and useful kitchen are a plus. The pool is excellent and the overall location is unbeatable, with plenty of eateries and attractions within walking distance. Great facilities, including a clean pool and easy access to the MRTs. The complimentary tray of goodies upon arrival is a nice touch. Some of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast, while simple, is nice during weekdays. The treats in the jar at reception are addictive. Ideal for families with the second bedroom having two single beds. The facilities may be slightly dated, but the pool is a hit with the kids. The location is perfect for dining out and exploring nearby attractions. A great value for the price.

The location was absolutely perfect, with two MRT stations just round the corner and the river right across the street. It was so convenient being directly at a bus stop as well. The service at this hotel was top-notch, from the friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk to the attentive management who were always available to assist with any queries. The amenities in the room were excellent, including ironing facilities, air conditioning, and a comfortable sitting area. I also appreciated the in-room safe, dining table, and well-equipped kitchen. The television and CD player provided entertainment options, and the flat-screen TV with cable/satellite channels was a nice touch. The dining options at this hotel were great, with a restaurant serving a delicious continental breakfast. I was impressed by the quality of service and the range of amenities offered at this hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Spent Easter here, great for a family stay. Two-bedroom apartment had ample space, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. Most importantly, it was close to public transportation and tourist attractions like Chinatown and the Quay area.
The state of the facilities left much to be desired. Some furnishings were broken or in poor condition, and the house keeping was inconsistent.

The rooms at Village Residence Clarke Quay are fantastic! They are air-conditioned and have all the amenities you could ask for, like a desk, kettle, fridge, minibar, and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom with a shower is a dream after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I found having 2 bathrooms a bit unnecessary. One with a bathtub and the other with a shower seemed like overkill for my needs.

The hotel's decoration is simply charming, with traditional wood carvings and hand-painted ceramic tiles adorning the corridors. It gives a nostalgic and homely feel, which I found lovely as a senior woman. The general areas of the hotel are well-maintained and spacious, making it easy for me to navigate around. Plus, the hotel's accessibility is excellent for senior people like me, with no long walks or stairs to worry about.
The only improvement I would ask for is better service from the children working there.
